What is a User-Agent string?
Every HTTP request includes a User-Agent header that
identifies the browser, operating system, and device making the request.
This tool decodes that string into structured fields so you can quickly
see what's hitting your server.
How accurate is this?
Pretty good for the major browsers, mainstream OSes, and well-known bots (Googlebot, Bingbot, AhrefsBot, Slackbot, etc.). Less good for niche or spoofed agents. Anyone can claim to be anything in the UA header — treat it as a hint, not proof.
What's the device model?
Pulled from the parenthesized device hint where browsers include it (e.g.
SM-G991B for a Samsung Galaxy S21). Desktop browsers usually
don't include a model.
Is the UA string sent anywhere?
No. The string you paste is parsed locally in your browser — there's no request to a server. Click Parse my own UA to see how your current browser identifies itself.
